PROPERTY DETAILS

Property Description

This is the extra-special one of 5 lovely gites available for adult couples only, situated in the large garden and beside the swimming pool of a 100 year-old 'maison de maitre' with loads of history and which once belonged to a wealthy wine merchant.

The gite is located near the centre of the popular small town of Olonzac, the 'capital' of the Minervois.

Topaze Doree is extra-special because it has two patio doors making it extra light and airy. One opens on to you own private paved terrace with table, chairs, parasol and a barbecue. The other door opens onto the more public terrace, garden and swimming pool. (You'll have a table and chairs here too if you feel like chatting to other guests here).

Converted from the staff quarters and stables of the old house, the gite comprises a comfortable living/dining room and galley-style kitchenette on the ground floor. Upstairs there's a double bedroom with twin beds and a shower room and WC.

Should Gite Topaze Doree not be available for your dates, please check on the availability of the other gites here - GITE TOPAZE.

Excellent quiet gite with super swimming pool and massive garden. (5 star Holiday Lettings reviews left on Nov 22, 2016 for a stay in May to July 2016).  This is an excellent, quiet gite right in the heart of Olonzac a short walk from all facilities, but it feels like you're in the countryside, with a wonderful swimming pool and massive garden. Superb and with lovely hosts. MGD, France, NOV 2016
Super gite, super pool, super hosts! Our hosts made our stay so comfortable and were very helpful with restaurant recommendations etc. The complimentary wine from a nearby vineyard on our arrival went down a treat. The apartment was ideal and of a very good standard. A two minute walk to the boulangerie in the morning to enjoy our al fresco breakfasts. The swimming pool right outside our door was wonderful. Big hot tub as well. Street parking was no problem.  Olonzac is a good centre to explore the region - Carcassonne, Canal du Midi, Minerve, Narbonne etc.  Mrs A, Essex, UK. June 2015
We stayed six nights in the Gite Topaze Doree which is situated in the lovely village of Olonzac. The gite is in the grounds of an imposing large house in the heart of the village. There is a swimming pool and extensive garden grounds full of trees providing many shady spots to enjoy a glass of wine. The gite is at the end of a row of five and we booked it because it was the only one with a private terrace - we didn't use it once as the area to the front of the gite and the pool and gardens were big enough to find a little privacy if required. We'd definitely return - great value for money!  Mr P, Scotland, May 2015
Good, well described by Joie de Vivre, pleasant setting, friendly hosts.  Mrs MS, Berkshire, UK August 2014
Gite Topaze Doree was very nice - very nicely presented with everything we needed; we were very satisfied. Ms CS, Surrey, UK. May 2013.
Absolutely lovely! The hostess was fantastic and so kind! She went out of her way to be helpful and we very much appreciated it :-) Also the pool and hot tub were fab! Thank you for sending us all the useful prior information. Mrs AP, Cumbria, UK, May 2012.
Very good and as expected. The Gite is very nicely positioned in the village, but feels private and secluded. Lovely pool. Exceptionally hospitable and friendly hosts, without being intrusive in any way. We had a lovely time, and contact with Joie de Vivre was professional and timely. Information was accurate. Many thanks for an excellent service. Mrs JS, Yorkshire, UK, August 2011. In one word - BRILLIANT!  Mr C, Buckinghamshire. September 2010.
