PROPERTY DETAILS

Property Description

Tucked away along a rural track, adjacent to the owners' property, you’ll find this idyllic 3 bedroom detached private villa.

The interior has beautiful beamed ceilings, quality solid wood furniture, cool stone floors and lots of unusual antiques and artefacts that all come together to create a stylish and welcoming holiday home.

The owner certainly has a flair for interior design and the 3 double bedrooms (possible to make 2 singles) have all been furnished using traditional Provencal fabrics that create a very comfortable holiday home.

In the summer months you’ll probably spend most of your time on the shaded terrace, overlooking the beautiful, very private garden. It’s well stocked with plants and trees that thrive in the warm Provencal sunshine and fresh air and you can take in the breathtaking scenery all around you as you relax and cool off in your own private swimming pool. There is also a BBQ cooking outside.

One big advantage of this rural setting is that it’s actually only a short walk (800m) to the village of Bedoin. This is a picture postcard French village with a vibrant local market on a Monday morning – well worth a visit.

About the local area

Villa St Valentin is only 800m from the village of Bedoin where you will find plenty of small local shops and restaurants.

If you like to explore the local Provencal markets, you’ll be spoilt for choice! Bedoin Carpentras, Mazan and many other towns in the area are well known for the excellent Paysan Markets where you will find local produce, grown and sold by some real characters!

The local landscape is dominated by vineyards, country roads and quaint villages, all gently basking in the Provencal sunshine.

Overlooking this vista is the giant of Mont Ventoux. This is a 1912m summit that is famous for the challenge it poses to serious cyclists. If you are in the car, it also makes for a great day out with stunning views on a clear day! (Have a look at our Cycling in Provence pages here for more information about Mont Ventoux)

With good restaurants in abundance in this area, it’s not difficult to spoil yourself – holidays aren’t for dieting!

If you like a tipple, a well-trodden wine route starts at the door of your Villa. Vaqueras, Gigondas, Cotes du Ventoux and Cahteauneuf du Pape are all well known great wines of the region and are all within a thirty minute drive (Just make sure you have decided who’s driving back!)

If you are feeling a bit sporty, cycling, walking, rock climbing, horseriding, golf, quad biking, canoeing and even Paragliding can all be found within 20kms of the village.

Further a field but within easy reach, you have the attractions of some of the South of France’s best known towns: Avignon is just 30 minutes away and Aix en Provence, Orange, Marseille and the Carmargue National Park are all under an hours drive.

We did a bit of exploring going back to places I hadn’t visited for 20 years or more and enjoyed Mont Ventoux, Orange and Avignon. The villa was very well placed for all of these. We also loved Bedoin and found it a great base with interesting shops, an excellent market and varied restaurants. The owners of the villa were charming and helpful, and the villa was lovely and very well appointed

NL August 2023

Peaceful, private garden, pool, pool furniture and spacious living areas.
Large garage kept car cool. Safe walk to village and great walks into the hills right from the doorstep
Excellent and stays over several consecutive years show how welcome and comfortable we have been made to feel

JF, from UK, July 2019

Peaceful location, lovely private garden and pool, walking distance to Bedoin centre.
This was our 5th visit, so that probably says all!

We are booking again for a longer period in 2016, so that says everything about how much we enjoy staying there and how much we appreciate the efforts and friendliness of the owners.Mr F, Flackwell Heath, June 2015
We were very impressed and thought if anything the website pictures did not do it justice, particularly the inside shots. We are coming back next year!

Just to let you know we were extremely satisfied with the villa and the location. Everything we could have wanted was provided.
Ms S, Ipswich, April 2006

We are are back from our holiday in Bedoin which was absolutely wonderful, but,.............. went far too quickly. The Villa was just perfect and the owners are such a nice couple, friendly, helpful and so very welcoming. The villa itself was spotlessly clean and tidy and had every utensil that you could possibly require , there were even a couple of bikes in the garage ready for our use.

The garden was perfect and very private and the pool a delight as it was hot and sunny for our entire two weeks. Apart from all of the fabulous days out and dining, the transhumance was definitely the highlight.

Thank you for arranging such a brilliant holiday Villa.

Mr R, UK, June 2017
