This spacious 4 bedroom Provencal-style villa with private pool is located in a beautiful area between the villages of Valbonne and Biot, just 9km from the sea. Wonderfully situated on large, peaceful, south-facing grounds it would be perfect for families with its swimming pool, barbeque, table tennis, large living areas and four good bedrooms.
The villa comprises a large living room with vaulted ceilings, modern open-plan kitchen/dining area, utility room, ground floor WC, mezzanine landing, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, large dining terrace, beautifully landscaped gardens, private swimming pool and secure parking for up to three cars. It’s the owner’s main home, so very well-equipped.
In a lovely neighbourhood of large villas called ‘Le Bois Fleuri’, it’s just 1km to local shops & large supermarket, and 5km from the lovely villages of Valbonne and Biot. The beaches and coastal towns of Antibes and Cagnes-sur-Mer are not far away and have great seaside promenades.
It has a maximum occupancy of 8 people (plus babies) and would be perfect for one or two families, or a group of friends.
Property Features
Living room: relax in this great big room with double-height ceilings & galleried landing looking down. Stylishly furnished with sofa for 8 people, coffee table, large TV (French, English & Norwegian), Bose stereo with device dock. Piano and small library of books also available. French windows give lovely views to the terrace, pool and gardens.
Dining area: combined within the kitchen/living room with beautiful wood table & seating for up to 8 people. A freestanding log burner is ideal for the cosy winter months!
Kitchen: get stuck into all that lovely French produce with oven, electric hob, hood, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. Sensibly the utility room adjacent has the fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.
Bedrooms: four in total, all with cooling fans. The lovely master bedroom has double bed (160cm wide), fitted wardrobes, TV, corner washbasin/shower area and views over the pool & countryside beyond. Two of the other bedrooms also have double beds (160cm), wardrobes and writing desks. The fourth bedroom is furnished with a very comfortable, modern sofa bed (140cm, easy to unfold & put away), wardrobes and desk.
Bathrooms: one large independent bathroom located in-between 3 bedrooms with bath, handheld shower, double washbasins and WC. The master bedroom has its own corner shower and washbasin. Independent WC on the ground floor. Hairdryer available.
Outside: the south-facing gardens are private and totally enclosed, with remote-controlled gates and automatically watered Mediterranean flora. Lots of room for the kids to run around and they’ll love the table-tennis area! Take lunch on the shaded terrace under the trees, or barbeque and dine on the terrace by the pool. In the evening the cosy outdoor lounge is ideal for 5, with stylish wicker furniture. Parking directly outside the house for up to 3 cars.
Swimming pool: private and secured for children with alarm, approximately 9 x 4.5 metres with depths of between 1.2 - 1.8 and serviced once per week. Relax in any of six sun loungers ad enjoy the peace and quiet.
Internet: Wi-Fi available here for your devices.
Telephone: not available sorry; but you could always make calls through the Wi-Fi.
Baby facilities: baby cot, high chair & car seat available upon request.
Bed & bathroom linen: included in the rental cost. It would be necessary to take your pool towels.
Electric & water: included in the rental cost.
Winter heating: by way of electric heaters & log burner - included in the rental.
End-of-stay cleaning: four hours included at the end of each week. If the house requires more at the end, this will be invoiced to you.
Taxe de Séjour: In France it's usually necessary to pay this (tourist tax) and it's calculated based on the number of people in your group and the time of year you stay. Under 18's are exempt. We will advise you of the tax due at the time you make your reservation and how it is to be paid.
Damage deposit: the owner requests a damage deposit of 1000 Euros, made in advance with JDV by way of a credit card guarantee. This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.
Change over day: normally a Saturday, however the owners may be flexible upon request.
Long weekend stays: not possible here - sorry.
Pets: permitted upon request - please ask for details.
Smoking: is preferred outside.
About the local area
Local shops, a large Carrefour supermarket, snack restaurant, boulangerie, pharmacy and doctors can be found 1km away. There are many shops and restaurants in Valbonne just 5 km away or in the neighbouring villages of Roquefort-les-Pins, Opio and Biot.
Local markets are held on Fridays in Valbonne and Tuedays in Biot, where you can choose from wonderful displays of fresh fruit and vegetables and local fare.
Sporting activities are abundant, there’s hiking nearby, horse riding centres in Opio, mountain biking in the Valmasque Park (20 minutes), golf & tennis and the areas also good for cycling.
Beaches can be found 9 km away in Antibes, and also Cagnes-sur-Mer and Cannes either side. All sorts of water sports are available here.
The ski stations of Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are between 1-2 hour’s drive away, and also Greoliere just 45 minutes if you fancy a couple of day’s winter sports!
Getting around is very easy. There’s a bus stop two minutes’ walk away with inexpensive buses to Antibes and Valbonne, or interchanging to Cannes along the way. Trains can be caught from Biot (6km) where you can get to places like Nice, Villefranche, Cannes & Monaco. A car is not essential here, but recommended.
Sightseeing is endless; there’s the old villages of Mougins and St Paul-de-Vence, also Gourdon perched high in the mountains - all totally different but very quaint. You can visit Antibes to see the super yachts & old town and Cannes for the designer shops & promenade. Nice is a must with daily markets in the Cours Saleya, a wonderful old town, the new Promenade du Paillon and the port.
Other entertainment includes shopping, the casinos & nightlife of Cannes, child-friendly Juan les Pins, boat trips to the Isles de Lerins, cinemas, wine tasting, the waterpark Aquasplash & seaworld of Marineland at Biot, or just good old relaxing by the pool!

Open and spacious for all eight members of my family, wonderful garden and pool area. I guess that with the exceptionally high temperatures experienced whilst we were staying at Villa Liseron, it would have been useful to have had Air-Conditioning in the villa. However this is a mute point, even without the Air Conditioning, our stay was very enjoyable !! A glorious 2 week stay with family/friends.. Absolutely lovely owners, very friendly & helpful. Beautiful home - well equipped with all you need and the pool was wonderful. Lovely peaceful location... A car would be helpful but bus stop at top of the road connects with supermarket, picturesque villages of Valbonne and Biot and Biot station SNCF routes to Nice, Antibes, Cannes, Italy..
