In the former luxury Belle Epoque hotel 'The Majestic' in lower Cimiez, this splendid one bedroom apartment is located on the top floor and offers magical views over the city of Nice and the ‘Baie des Anges’.

Located on the 6th floor (with lift) the apartment is 66 sqm in size and comprises hallway, large living/dining room, open kitchen, one spacious bedroom, dressing room, one good bathroom, an independent WC, two balconies, beautiful communal areas and the option of parking for one car.

This luxury ultra-secure residence will impress you from the minute you walk in to its majestic entrance halls. Very quiet with superb sea views, it’s close to the center of Nice, less than 5 minutes’ walk to the main shopping street Jean Medicin, and just 15 minutes’ walk to the old town. It would be an ideal place to relax and take advantage of the city.

It has a maximum occupancy of 3 or 4 people and would be perfect for three adults, or two adults and two children.  

 

Local shops, boulangeries and restaurants can all be found in abundance all around. It’s very well placed with a large supermarket just opposite. There are also department stores and designer shops in the town centre and many gift shops in the nearby Old Town of Nice.

Local markets are held in the “Cours Saleya” in Old Nice, where there are antiques on a Monday and fresh flowers, fruit and fish from Tuesdays to Sunday.

Sporting activities in the area are abundant– there’s golf, tennis, horse riding, fishing, water sports & the beach, jet skis, sailing and roller blading. You are also in very close proximity to the mountains and hills of the Alpes Maritimes region here, which makes walking and cycling very popular.

Beaches can be found close-by all along the famous ‘Promenade des Anglais’.

The ski stations of Greoliere, Valberg, Isola 2000 and Auron are just over 1 hour’s drive away if you fancy a couple of days winter sports!

Getting around is very easy from here – the local transport system is excellent and you can get to many destinations inexpensively, including the airport, along the coastline and inland to towns and villages. The main train station of Nice is very close and there's also the tram. The bus service is also very good and inexpensive. A car is definitely not required here.

Sightseeing is endless; you have the Old Town of Nice, The Port of Nice, The Promenade des Anglais, the towns of Villefranche-sur-Mer and Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Cap Ferrat, the perched village of Eze, the principality of Monaco and the Italian border town of Menton. It is also possible to cross over the border to experience a flavour of Italy!

Other entertainment includes shopping, casinos & nightlife, theatre, cinema, helicopter rides, boat trips, or just a good old day relaxing on the beach.

 

Living room: accessed from the entrance hall, it’s large and bright with sofa bed, coffee table & chairs and a dining area with table and 4 chairs. Double doors open out to balcony where you can enjoy the views over the whole city and sea.

Kitchen: semi-open to the living room and well-equipped for cooking & dining with dishwasher, microwave, hob, fridge, kettle and washing machine.

Bedrooms: one good-sized bedroom with king-size bed (200x180cm), plus a single bed for a child which can equally be used as another lounge area with satellite TV. Doors open out to a further balcony with the same fabulous views.

Bathroom: is charming and has a lovely roll-top bath, shower over and double washbasins. Toilet is independent. A large dressing room is available.

Outside: the apartment has the 2 lovely balconies with great views, south facing so very sunny and one furnished with small table & 2 chairs. A private parking place can be made available by prior request just in front of the residence, with an extra charge of 50 Euros per week, or 10 Euros per night for stays of less than 7 nights. Paid direct to the owner.

Swimming pool: not available here, but then you do have the beaches & sea on your doorstep!

Internet: is available here for your devices via Wi-Fi.

Telephone: landline is not available here - sorry.

Baby facilities: it would be necessary to take your own travel cot, or please ask regarding a local hire company.

Winter heating: is by central heating radiators and included in the rental.

Electric & water: are both included in the rental.

End-of-stay cleaning: has been priced separately, so that if you are staying for more than 1 week you are not paying for it more than once. It is 70 Euros and is paid directly to the owner.

Bed & bathroom linen: is included for 2 people. Additional may be rented from the owner if you do not wish to take your own – please ask for details.

Taxe de Séjour: in France, it is necessary to pay a “Taxe de Séjour” at the end of your stay. On this property it is 1.00 Euro per person (over 12 years), per day and is payable directly to the owner.

Damage deposit: the owner requests a damage deposit of 300 Euros by way of credit card guarantee, made with JDV in advance of arrival. This will be refunded at the end of your stay, less the replacement cost of any breakages.

Change over day: is normally a Saturday; however the owners maybe flexible upon request.

Long weekend stays: are possible outside of the high seasons, with a minimum of 2 nights stay.

Pets: may be accepted with a small supplement - please enquire.

Smoking: is not permitted inside this property – sorry (balcony is OK).

Supplementary services: baby-sitting and additional cleaning may be available upon request.
